The Acre Giveaway...Day II

Yesterday, we posted about giving away an acre of land.  The response was enormous and amazing.  The thing that we are most interested in is what it means.  For a lot of people, this has been the sticking point.  So many people were so interested in changing the way they live and doing more with their lives that they jumped at the chance to get started.
Yes, we are giving away an acre of land;  a half acre in Mossyrock, WA and a half acre in Keysville, GA.
It is raw land (no water, no power, wooded) but close to small towns and not far at all from major cities.
No, we cannot bring it to you.
On April 3, 2016 we are going to hold a drawing and one person is going to win a half acre of land in each place.

The Acre Giveaway

We are giving away acres of land...
Yes...acres of land.
Where?

The Life Cooperative is giving away one half acre of land in Keysville, GA
We are creating a community in on 20 acres of land in Keysville, GA near Augusta, GA. One acre of land will be given away here.

The New Eden Project is giving away one half an acre in Mossy Rock, WA
The New Eden Project is building a community in Mossy Rock, WA.  It is a 17 acre parcel of land between Portland, OR and Seattle, WA.  We are looking to give away a half an acre of property in this community.

About both properties...
These are each RAW land.  There are no requirements for the property aside from the covenants that will be agreed upon by the organization.  Each will be a parcel of land within the community.  Adjacent to the actual community will be  a farm and large garden.

Winners will be chosen by drawing in Seattle, WA on April 3, 2016 at the Mossy Rock Summit I.

To be honest, these are not amazing parcels of land.  They are in far removed places.  The value of the land in Keysville is approximately $2100.00 and the value of the land in Mossy Rock is $3200.00 but the actual value of each is what you can bring to it.  We are looking for pioneers.  The value of each parcel of land is what the new owner will be able to bring to it.  The value will be in what each person can bring to the community.

The Time Has Come...

The time has come to change the world.  How and where are we going to do it?  We want to create a
new community and we have the resources to do it.  We have the will and the strength.  The one thing that we are missing is you.
In April, we begin an amazing venture, we are going to meet and create and build.
We are coming to you.

If you have ever wanted to live in a tiny house village, an off grid community, or even just escape we are coming to you.

The Life Cooperative is building a network, a community, a family.

The idea is to build something that transcends the current movement.  We are going to put land owners in touch buyers.  We are going to put builders in touch with those who are looking to build.  We are going to solve those problems that are keeping people from fully engaged.

There are a lot of questions that can be asked...
Where do I build?
How do I build?
Can I afford it?

This is the year we answer those questions and ask just one of our own.
What is stopping you?

The Echotel Project

There is a lot that goes into building a community...
Great communities are build by many hands and each person contributes something completely unique to them. Each person's contribution is like a brick that adds to the foundation of a great space.

The Echotel project is going to embrace that idea.  We are inviting people to help build.  We are inviting people to participate.

The Echotel concept is really very simple.  We are building small scale, affordable, sustainable housing units for use at festivals and events.  We rent them out for the night and people have a safe place to store their stuff, sleep, enjoy music, relax, and whatever.

By renting these units out we bring in money into the organization.
We promote the building of sustainable housing for those in need.
We provide a return on the investment that people have made in The Life Cooperative

Everyone wins.

The New Eden Project...Day 1

Who we are and what we do.
The New Eden Project is building.  We are building new communities that are based on sustainability, affordability, and centered around growing relationships.

Our community will be off grid; looking at the best ways to engage with the world yet showing how best to exist self sufficiently.

Farming...
The focal point of our community will be our farms.  These farms will support our members and excess will be sold to support the community.

Events...
We are going to be spreading the word with events all around the country and at our own place.  We are looking for kindred spirits to help with this amazing project!
